Job Summary
The Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations and Events
will oversee and manage Athletic Department finances, business
operations, game day operations, equipment and events. Reporting to
the Vice President/Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and
serving as a member of the senior staff, the incumbent oversees
game day operations, business office personnel, as well as the
athletics equipment staff.The Assistant Athletic Director for
Business Operations and Events is responsible for all fiscal
activities of Chicago State University's NCAA Division I Athletic
Department, including budget planning, formulation, management,
forecasting, and resource allocation. This position serves as a
fiscal officer for the Department of Athletics and is charged with
working independently as well as collaboratively with campus
Business and Finance units. This individual is responsible for
providing regular financial reports to the Vice President/Director
of Athletics.This position is also responsible for the development
and oversight of fiscal policies and procedures to ensure all
fiscal activities are conducted in compliance with federal, state,
institutional, and NCAA laws and regulations.The incumbent ensures
fiscal integrity, including compensation, scholarship, and
operating budgets, as well as the Athletics' foundation accounts.
Create and maintain policies and procedures related to financial
management and business operations. Promote an atmosphere of
customer service to internal and external constituents, overseeing
team services (travel, officials, and equipment).
In addition to the above duties, the Asst. AD Business Operations
and Events maintains managerial authority over additional
operational units, third party vendors and game contracts,
purchasing and inventory.
