Details below.Position Overview:The Head of OCIO Business will be
responsible for leading all aspects of the OCIO business including
strategy, business growth, client alignment and development,
investment performance and talent management. The ideal candidate
will have proven track record in leading large and complex teams
within investments organizations and have a deep knowledge around
OCIO and its various intricacies. The role will work in partnership
with the CIO of Asset Allocation & OCIO and closely with
investment, sales and many other internal stakeholder groups to
grow our OCIO franchise and deliver world-class solutions to asset
owners with consistency and ease.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and business plan
for the OCIO business.
- Lead the OCIO team in achieving business objectives, growth
targets, and service excellence.
- Collaborate with the Global Chief Investment Officer and other
senior leaders to align OCIO strategies with the overall
organizational goals.
- Client Retention & Growth
- Oversee client relationships to ensure high levels of
satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide
solutions, and deliver on service commitments.
- Partner closely with sales and marketing leaders to develop and
implement business development strategies for the priority OCIO
investor segments.
- Ensure effective communication and reporting to clients
regarding their portfolios and performance.
- Increase awareness of our OCIO business - engage regularly
through media, social media, industry events/conferences, etc.
- Operational Oversight
- Manage the operational aspects of the OCIO business including
compliance, risk management, and technology integration.
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of all OCIO
processes and workflows.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure
regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing OCIO team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
within the team.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities and
support for team members.
- Investment Performance
- Work with Client Investment Officers in defining investment
guidelines with clients to design investment management
agreements.
- In close partnership with the CIO of Asset Allocation & OCIO,
build leading asset allocation solutions to drive innovation and
investment performance for client portfolios.
- Attend investment oversight sessions to ensure Client
Investment Officers meet expectations of investment management
agreements.
- Provide input on investment process outcomes to enable success
of the OCIO franchise.
- Collaboration Across Northern Trust
- Work closely with the various asset class CIOs to drive
innovation for OCIO clients and ensure seamless integration of
investment strategies and client solutions.
- Coordinate with various sales, operations, marketing,
compliance and other critical functions to grow and retain the OCIO
business.
- Connect and collaborate with various divisions outside of Asset
Management to enhance the OCIO offering by leveraging the full
breadth of innovation and leading services Northern Trust
offers.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related
field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.) preferred.
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in the investment management
industry, with a focus on OCIO services or similar roles.
- Proven track record of strategic leadership and business
development in a financial services environment.
- Critical thinker with superior problem-solving abilities who is
able to navigate large organizations and organize resources to
effectively prioritize issues and respond to clients and senior
management.
- Proven experience of attracting, developing and inspiring high
performing talent.
- Strong understanding of investment management principles,
financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent client relationship management skills with a
demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level client
relationships.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal
skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment.Salary Range:$189,400 - 350,625
USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern
