Job Description:
This position is accountable for the integrity of the
workstation and server infrastructure at Allied.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
- Address user incident tickets regarding hardware, software, and
networking quickly, effectively, and according to SLA.
- Knowledge of endpoint management process, including but not
limited to image creation, package creation, software deployment,
environment auditing, and script deployment.
- Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Server
operating systems.
- Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus
programs.
- Expert knowledge of office automation products and computer
peripherals, like printers and scanners.
- Proven ownership of patching lifecycle in enterprise level
environments.
- Follow, create, and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP)
documentation, including participating in training initiatives and
driving personnel towards best practices.
- Work on assigned related IT projects and implementations as
needed.
- Communicate any escalation of issues and or problems to proper
escalation channels and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft support tools, such as DNS, storage,
and networking.
- Advanced knowledge of patch management and software
distribution.
- Customer-centric support mentality.
- Strong documentation skills of processes, deployments, test
plans, and infrastructure particulars.
- Weekend coverage and after hours on call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
or equivalent combination of education and work experience
required.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Must possess at least 6 years of experience in computer
operations and support.
- Working knowledge and experience of Windows Servers, Active
Directory, Intune, Group Policy administration, Tanium endpoint
management including image creation, patching, inventory, and
related features.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic
environment.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the
ability to influence and work effectively with diverse groups of
peers and business partners.
- Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work on multiple
tasks simultaneously with strong organizational and prioritization
skills.
- Advanced networking and security experience with demonstrated
knowledge of switches, routers, Multi-Factor-Authentication, SSO,
and VPN connectivity.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise with Azure, MS Exchange,
Office 365, ODBC database connectivity, PowerShell, Virtual
Machines, and SQL.
- Ability to create and maintain standard operating procedure
(SOP) documentation, including participating in training
initiatives and driving personnel towards best practices.
- Experience working with Freshservice ticketing system
preferred.

lift equipment up to 50 lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the
duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of
electrical shock.The job may require spending some time in a cold
(59 degree) and noisy datacenter room.This role will require you to
travel to the downtown Chicago, IL office location and as well as
to support workers located at their residence (through remote
access). Up to 25% travel will be required.The company has reviewed
