We are looking for an engaged, hands-on leader to manage a team of Mechanical Engineers involved in the design, fabrication, and modification of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems for Navy ships and applications.What You Will Do

• Responsible for supervising a team of engineers focused on a variety of activities to be completed on time and within budget.
• Lead and conduct a team during new design and development with a focus on mechanical analysis for shock and vibration of aluminum and steel structures, thermal studies, fluid systems, electronic packaging, and model-based engineering.
• Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services.
• Investigate solutions to product or process problems.
• Manage budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
• Participate in preparation of proposals.Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field + at least 8 years of experience in product development and design.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of Engineers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Understanding of DoD; experience with the US Navy is highly preferred.
  • Experience with power conversion and power distribution technology and their use in drive systems, switchgear, and energy storage systems.
