Apply today!About the roleSIGN-ON BONUS - $5,000 (1/3 after 1 month, 1/3 after 6 months, 1/3 after 1 year) The CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. Drives will be able to operate various equipment including vacuum tankers, trucks, vans, and flat beds.Responsibilities:

• Safely operate equipment following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up safely and transport waste to a designated location while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork, including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Complete additional assigned duties.Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Must be 21 years or older due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience and Power Take-Off (PTO) such as hydraulic pumps
  • CDL Class A with Tanker and HazMat endorsement required.
  • TWIC card required
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
  • Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.Certifications:
    • 40 HR HAZWOP- Preferred This position's expected hourly pay rate is $30.00/hr.This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary will consider various factors, including experience, ability, and location.
