POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for creating and designing the
schematics utilized by our team of electrical technicians to build
the control panels and wire the machines as well as our controls
engineers who commission the machines for final run. The position
requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of
electrical theory and practical application to design the
schematics for the full line of machine tools sold by Unisig. A
strong understanding of Solidworks Electrical is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design electrical schematics and panel layouts using SolidWorks
Electrical and Solidworks Electrical 3D, ensuring a complete
drawing set and accurate end-to-end wiring diagrams
- Utilize Electrical Technicians' and Control Engineers' feedback
to revise/modify schematics and connections/wiring diagrams,
maintaining industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain and advance parts and symbol libraries.
- Design to domestic and international standards such as NFPA,
IEC, and CSA
- Release approved drawings and bill of materials to
production.
- Support production during the assembly/wiring process.
All other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in electronics, automation, or other relevant
field of study
- 3-5 years' experience designing/detailing schematics.
- Familiarity with Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, and other
industrial automation manufacturer's hardware.
- Excellent work ethic and the ability to work
self-directed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regularly sits throughout the day
Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus
Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories, and phone equipment
Occasionally stands and moves throughout the shop
