This role is ideal for professionals with deep knowledge of lighting systems, retrofit projects, and design-build workflows. The BDM will be responsible for driving project-based sales, cultivating relationships, and delivering tailored lighting solutions.This Role Offers:

  • Identify, develop, and execute lighting retrofit projects, focusing on design-build opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with end-users, facility managers, engineers, specifiers, and contractors to drive product adoption and obtain specifications.
  • Provide expertise in lighting systems, energy efficiency, and project workflows to customers and stakeholders.
  • Establish and nurture connections in the assigned region, identifying new prospects and expanding market presence.
  • Maintain detailed project information and progress updates throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with internal teams to provide insights on product offerings and market trends.
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings and site visits, with travel requirements ranging from 50-75% within the assigned region.
  • Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.Skill Set:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical or engineering-related field.
  • Extensive experience in the lighting sector, including a solid track record of three or more years in client-facing sales roles.
  • Proven success in lighting retrofit projects and design-build workflows.
  • Proven ability to excel in cold-calling and building strong relationships with key target audiences.
  • Expertise in lighting systems, retrofits, and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Familiarity with control systems and ability to develop specifications.
  • LC (Lighting Certified) preferred.
  • Experience with design-build contractors or roles focused on energy efficiency.
