You will join ECG as a member of our Healthcare Consulting Pool, where you'll have the opportunity to gain diverse experiences by working across ECG's four divisions. Our consulting divisions include: Health System Performance, Medical Group Optimization, Payer Strategy & Contracting, and Strategy & Enterprise Growth. Here, no two days or projects are alike, which means you'll have a lot to learn and plenty of support to help you succeed.We are currently hiring a consultant or senior consultant to join our Healthcare Consulting Pool with previous work experience supporting revenue cycle engagements such as:

  • Future-state design and process optimization.
  • Performance improvement planning and implementation support.
  • Patient accounting system/bolt-on technology evaluation and optimization.
  • Management services organization development.
  • Insourcing/outsourcing transition planning.
  • Vendor contract negotiation/renegotiation and management.Your Responsibilities May Include:
    • Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations.
    • Managing all project data analyses, including data validation with client stakeholders.
    • Synthesizing/interpreting analysis results to assist in developing executable client improvement strategies (e.g., organizational design, workflows, staffing, vendor management, cost structures, technology solutions).
    • Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
    • Conducting stakeholder interviews.
    • Leading information-gathering efforts.
    • Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Defining project analyses and deliverables.
    • Communicating project progress and seeking input.
    • Developing depth of technical expertise.
    • Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements.
    • Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions.
    • Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
    • Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
    • Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
    • Learning about ECG's breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.
    • Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
    • Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.
    • Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.Our Expectations of You
      • Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry.
      • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a healthcare-related field with a focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and logic.
      • Master's degree in business administration and/or in a health-related field preferred.
      • Prior work experience in healthcare consulting and/or provider operations with a focus on revenue cycle operations, business intelligence/reporting, process improvement, or other related areas (one-plus years of applicable experience for consultant level; three to five years for senior consultant level).
      • Demonstrated knowledge of revenue cycle operations and revenue cycle-specific performance standards and KPIs.
      • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills; preference for candidates with experience in large-scale data mining and business intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Access, PowerBI).
      • Adequate knowledge of advanced analytics or coding tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL); experience with modern visualization tools preferred (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker).
      • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
      • Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills.
      • Track record of strong client service.
      • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities.
      • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
      • Ability and willingness to travel at least 60% of the time, with flexibility to meet client needs.Job LocationsAtlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Diego, Seattle, or Washington DC. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy.
